NHRA Accepts Another Quick Fuel Technology Carburetor For Stock and Super Stock Eliminator

BOWLING GREEN, KY - NHRA adds the Quick Fuel SSR-585-VS to the growing list of Quick Fuel Technology™ (QFT™) carburetors now accepted for Stock and Super Stock Eliminator competition. Quick Fuel's SSR-585-VS (585cfm, vacuum secondaries) replaces the side hung float modular 585 class of carburetors that have 1.250-inch diameter primary and 1.312-inch diameter secondary venturis. The SSR-585-VS features a lightweight aluminum main body with a choke tower, choke plate and changeable air bleeds. It has square aluminum fuel bowls with a single sight glass window to adjust float height. A cast aluminum primary block features three changeable emulsions, changeable idle feed restrictions and changeable power valve channel restriction for the racers who prefer running a power valve. The screw-in air bleeds and changeable emulsion restrictions allow racers to easily fine-tune their engine's fuel curve with greater precision than ever before providing the engine a more consistent air/fuel mixture throughout the entire RPM range. The SSR-585-VS also features a secondary jet plate with replaceable jets.

QFT's SSR-585-VS now joins its sibling SSR-780-VS (780cfm) and SSR-850 (850cfm) in NHRA's Stock and Super Stock competition. The SSR's reflect the latest in carburetor technology making traditional modular O.E. carbs obsolete. They are lightweight, cost effective, and easy to tune - adding adjustments not easily made to O.E. carbs. Every SSR carb is hand-built and engine tested in-house before it is shipped.
