Innovators in
Fuel Systems

BOWLING GREEN, KY – Quick Fuel Technology (QFT), a major contingency sponsor for the 2009 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series and the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, is introducing its new series of QFX race-engineered carburetors now approved for Pro Stock, Pro Mod and several Super Stock, Comp Eliminator and Super Eliminator classes. These patented, die-cast aluminum carburetors are 6 pounds lighter than traditional zinc carbs, and feature a lengthened venturi section for greater midrange torque and a raised intermediate metering system for a stronger fuel signal.

The specific QFX-series carbs now legal for Pro Stock and Pro Mod (starting at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals, April 16, 2009) are the 1450cfm FX-4714 and the 1250cfm FX-4712. QFT carburetors including the new QFX series are now legal for many other NHRA classes including all Super classes (Super/Comp, Super Gas and Super Street), Super Stock and Competition Eliminator. QFT carbs have also been approved for multiple carb classes and those requiring a 750 or 850cfm carburetor too. More specifically, Super Stock classes include: Modified Stock (except class "E"), Modified Truck, Modified and MX. Competition Eliminator classes include: Econo Dragster, Street Roadster, Econo Altered and Super Modified.

Whether you race heads-up or with a throttle stop, the new technology in fuel and airflow in the QFX carburetors will offer the racer better performance, and more tuneability than was previously available.
